JAPAN LUCKY BOX
Corinthian collecting in Japan was probably at it's peak during this period, with products and series being designed exclusively for the lucrative Japanese market. The Japanese customer has always liked the idea of a mystery box, with the Corinthian Miniatures range all being sold in that format, so at the Japanese distributors request Corinthian produced the 'Lucky Box'

This Lucky Box was a cardboard box and inside it contained 1 ProStars Blister Pack or Window Box from all figures released so far, a ProStars sachet and a MicroStars figure, with the 1 in 50 chance of the blister pack being one of the 4 exclusive Lucky Box Blister packs.

The product was sold in Japan in 2003 but Corinthian did obtain limited stock which it made available to UK customers from the Autumn of that year, with the Lucky Box being priced at £7.

The 4 figures are Rivaldo in Brazil away kit, Javier Saviola in Barcelona home kit, Ruud Van Nistelrooy in Holland away kit and Sergio Conceicao in Inter Milan home kit, you will notice it is the exact saem set of 4 figures that were released as Memorabilia specials. This is actually the only blister pack version of Saviola ever released, all other releases were as a clear sachet.

It was never disclosed how many of each were actually produced but they have always remained elusive and hard to find so I do think it was relatively low. It has always appeared to me that the Conceicao is the rarest followed by Saviola, with Rivaldo and Van Nistelrooy certainly seem to be more frequently available, but this is quite a rare set and certainly worth picking them up should you get the chance.

The figures were released as single blister packs and came with collector card.
