2005/06 SEASON TEAM PACK

Manchester United product always sold tremendously well for Corinthian, so it was no surprise to see them release the squad pack for the 2005/06 Premier League season.

Goal keeper Tim Howard is the same sculpt as first seen in Series 25 Stars of the Season 2004/05, along with a Mikael Silvestre, with the sculpt being the same as used in Series 18. Centre back partnership of Gabriel Heinze and Rio Ferdinand were both released in Series 28 Demon Defenders, which is why Rio is here in 2005/06 away kit.

Gary Neville makes up the back line, the sculpt the same as seen in Series 15 for England, interestingly the mock up image used by Corinthian showed Neville in a different body pose and long sleeves, which led to some confusion amongst collectors as to if that version had indeed been released, however it was only ever a mock up image.

 

 

The midfield bite was added by Roy Keane, the sculpt used the same as seen in Series 26 Midfield Maestros, joined by Ryan Giggs who's sculpt was seen back in Series 22, while Paul Scholes is in 2005/06 third kit, as he appeared in Series 30 Dazzling Derbies in home kit, with the away kit version being the series redemption figure. Completing the midfield is Cristiano Ronaldo in the 2005/06 third kit, which is a vastly popular figure and seldom seen for individual sale.

 

 

Wayne Rooney is in 2005/06 away kit, the home kit version appeared in Series 29 Stars of the Season 2004/05 as United wore the same home kit for the 2004/05 & 2005/06 seasons. Alan Smith is the same sculpt and kit as seen in Series 27 Super Strikers, with the pack completed by an all new sculpt of Ruud Van Nistlerooy, this sculpt would never again be used by Corinthian.

 

 

Corinthian released the Manchester United 2005/06 Team Pack on the 7th of November 2005, producing just 2005 packs but they did not come with an individually numbered certificate of authenticity, with a retail price of just £30.00

 

 

Each pack came with 12 figures, 12 collector cards and a free platinum pack of one of the figures, with each platinum pack having an individually numbered collector card from 001-167, these packs are incredibly hard to locate, with the Ronaldo being the most sought after.
