CHELSEA
12 PACK 2007-2008

Corinthian produced a Chelsea 12 figure pack for the 2007/08 season, one which saw 3 first time sculpts included along with 3 in the vibrant away kit.

The 3 brand new sculpts are Steve Sidwell, Tal Ben Haim and Ricardo Carvalho, with this being a fresh sculpt of Carvalho, not the one seen in Series 28 Demon Defenders. Both Sidwell and Tal Ben Haim would never be released as a Prostars figure again, making these versions highly sought after.

Chelsea wore a very vibrant away kit for the 2007/08 season, with Frank Lampard, Michael Essien and Didier Drogba being painted in that kit and included in this pack. It was good to see Corinthian choose those 3, as they had all recently appeared in Chelsea home kits, with Lampard in Series 35 and Series 36 Stars of the Season 2007/08 containing both Essien and Drogba.

The other 6 included in the team pack are Petr Cech, Ashley Cole, club captain John Terry, Michael Ballack, Joe Cole and Andriy Shevchenko. 

 

 

Corinthian released the Chelsea 12 Pack 2007/08 on the 12th of November 2007, producing just 2,007 pieces and having an initial retail price of only £35, this is a pack which has appreciated in value since it's release and is not often seen for sale. Although Corinthian stated 2007 packs were produced, they did not come issued with a individually numbered certificate of authenticity.

 

 

Each Chelsea 12 Pack 2007/08 came with 12 figures, 12 collector cards and a free Platinum Pack of one of the 12 figures, with just 167 of each platinum being made, each coming with an individually numbered collector card. These Platinum Packs are highly sought after and always in demand as collectors try to complete the set of 12, with the 3 away kit platinum of Essien, Lampard and Drogba being most sought after.
