CLASSICS
Corinthian introduced the ProStars Classics range right towards the end of the company's run, with 4 series being released in under 12 months.
The ProStars Classics series is very much as the name would imply, it consisted of ProStars figure from previous releases, ones which had always proved popular with collectors. I am a huge fan of the series and what I will say next is not to besmirch the range in anyway, however I feel at this point in time Corinthian were trying to use as much existing product as they could, as opposed to creating new sculpts, re painting an existing figure being far cheaper than creating an all new sculpt.
I always got the feeling that Corinthian looked at the blanks (unpainted figures) they had available and sought out a way to use them up, which is a sound business idea and gave us collectors some excellent figures including some in blister pack for the very first time!
