MEMORABILIA SPECIALS

in addition to hosting it's own annual Convention, Corinthian also attended other shows and events, with one such event being the Memorabilia Show which was hosted at the NEC in Birmingham and took place a few times a year.

Corinthian produced a range of figures which would be exclusively released at these Memorabilia shows and the name given to this range of figures is Memorabilia Specials. The Memorabilia specials were all on a Black base, came with collector card and were released as clear sachet only.

​

 

The very first Memorabilia Special was released on the 3rd and 4th of November 2001, with the figure being Michael Owen in England home kit, which was released to celebrate Englang thrashing Germany 5-1 on the 1st September 2001 in a 2002 World Cup qualifying match, with Owen scoring a hat trick in the game.

​

 

The next set of Memorabilia Specials were released almost a year later, with the Memorabilia show taking place at the NEC on the 3rd & 4th of August 2002, with the 3 players released being Gabriel Batistuta in Argentina away kit, Rio Ferdinand in England away kit and Thierry Henry in Arsenal away kit. From this point on Corinthian would release the Memorabilia Specials in sets of 4.

It is worth mentioning that the last Memorabilia show Corinthian attended was the November 29th & 30th show, from that point onwards Corinthian would no longer attend the show, instead the figures were sold at the Memorabilia shows by the official Resellers.
