The 2006/07 Serie A campaign resulted in Inter Milan romping to the league title, finishing on 97 points, a staggering 22 ahead of Roma in second place, winning 30, drawing 7 and losing just once, which was a 3-1 home defeat to Roma on the 18th of April.

Roberto Mancini had assembled a squad full of both talent and experience, with proven winners throughout the team. Corinthian produced the Inter Milan Serie A Champions 06/07 Celebration pack to commemorate this achievement.

 

 

Julio Cesar was sculpted for the very first time as a ProStars figure, as it would transpire he would not be released again, making this figure even more appealing and sought after by collectors, especially those in Brazil. A truly formidable back four of club captain Javier Zanetti, Ivan Cordoba, Marco Materazzi and Fabio Grosso, with Grosso and Materazzi being in away kit as Materazzi featured in home kit as part of the Calcio 4 pack and Gross was in home kit in Series 35.

 

 

Patrick Viera and Dejan Stankovic were also in away kit, as Vieira was in home kit as part of Series 35, with Stankovic appearing in home kit as part of Series 36 Stars of the Season 2006/7. Esteban Cambiasso got his second ProStars appearance, first release was in Series 30 Dazzling Derbies, while Olivier Dacourt made his 4th and final ProStars appearance, lastly appearing in Series 23 for Roma.

 

 

Completing the pack is Luis Figo, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Hernan Crespo, a real wealth of attacking talent, which explains why they finished top scorers in the league with 80 goals, with Zlatan getting 15 and Crespo 14.

 

 

Corinthian released the Inter Milan Serie A Champions 06/07 Celebration Pack in September 2007, making 2007 packs with an original retail price of £45. Each pack came with 12 figures,

12 collector cards, an individually numbered certificate of authenticity and a free platinum pack of one of the figures.

 

 

Only 167 of each Platinum Pack were made, each one came with individually numbered collector card, making them much sought after, with Julio Cesar being in high demand and my personal favourite from the set.
