MANCHESTER UNITED 2008/09

July 2008 saw Corinthian release a trio of Manchester United figures as part of the XL ProStars range, all in 2007/08 home kit.

Wayne Rooney was re sculpted and released again as an XL figure, with production limited to just 1100 pieces.

Carlos Tevez and Cristiano Ronaldo got their one an only XL release, 2 absolutely superb sculpts and they proved an instant hit with collectors and rapidly sold out. Corinthian made a mere 1000 Tevez and just 1700 of Cristiano Ronaldo.

​

 

Although in 2008 Ronaldo was already a star, he had not yet reached the heights in popularity he did during his time in Madrid, so quite simply over time the 1000 XL figures has not proven enough to meet demand, finding a Ronaldo XL can be very tricky, in fact you seldom see any of the 3 Manchester United 2008 XL's for sale.

The XL figures are 15cm high and were released in a gift box which came with an individually numbered certificate of authenticity. Each XL figure was assigned a collector code which started with XL.
