REDEMPTION EXCLUSIVES

Corinthian often offered free figures or 'Redemption' figures as they were called, as part of their releases, with the ProStars Retail range being no exception.

There were 4 redemption figures on offer which were Robinho and Adriano in Brazil home kit, Pablo Aimar for Argentina and Andriy Shevchenko for Ukraine. You could obtain these figures simply by collecting tokens which came issued in the collectors leaflets found in the ProStars Retail International Series blisters and England 2006 series figures, with just 4 tokens and £1 (contribution for postage and packing)

This was the first release of Pablo Aimar, the same sculpt would be used later for ProStars Classics Series 1, however it did seem odd to have a very first release of a figure only available as a redemption figure, as opposed to being a main attraction in a standard series release.

For me the highlight of this and in fact the entire ProStars Retail range is the figure of Robinho, hard to believe this is the only ProStars figure Corinthian produced of the little Brazilian, a superb sculpt and as with Aimar I had expected him to be released in a standard ProStars release, however this never happened

The figures came in clear sachet format only, with the sachet containing the figure and player fact file and quiz card.
