NAGOYA GRAMPUS EIGHT EDITION

Corinthian were asked by their Japanese distributor 'New Wave' to produce some special edition figures that would only be sold in Japan, with the figures selected being released in the later part of 2001.

There was a Japan special edition figure made which was a first time sculpt, this was Dragan Stojkovic in the 2001 home kit of Japan J-League side Nagoya Grampus Eight. This was the first Corinthian figure ever released of a player in a Japan J-League kit and the first ever release of Stojkovic, with the figure later featuring in his Yugoslavia home and away kits as part of Japan Special Edition range.

 

 

Corinthian did try to acquire stock of this figure to sell to UK collectors, however it was never possible due to licencing issues, so the figure was only available in Japan.

The figure was released in Blister Pack and came with collector card.
