RETAIL SERIES 1
DOUBLE BLISTERS
The 10th of January 2005 saw Corinthian make a return to high street retailers, with the release of the ProStars Retail range.

The figures were sold in stores such as Toys 'R' Us, Toymaster, The Entertainer, Woolworth's and Hamleys, as well as still being available from Corinthian Direct. The range has it's own coloured version of the ProStars banner and also it's own style of blister pack.

The figures are the same size as regular ProStars, with the range carrying it's own collector codes, starting with PR (ProStars Retail) and the traditional collector card was replaced by a Fact File and Quiz Card, which were to be used with the ProStars Game, which was released in June of 2005.

ProStars Retail Series 1 consists of 32 figures with 16 being released as single blister packs, while the other 16 were in double packs.

There were 8 double pack blisters released, which featured one figure in home kit and the other in away kit. The Arsenal double pack consisted of Sol Campbell and Dennis Bergkamp, with North London rivals Tottenham Hotspur's pack featuring Jermain Defoe and Jamie Redknapp, with the Redknapp being an all new sculpt.

Both halves of Manchester were represented, the red half have Alan Smith and John O'Shea, worth noting this was the only regular ProStars release of O'Shea, his only other appearance was in the Fan Favourites range as part of the Manchester United team pack. The blue hlaf see David James joined by Shaun Wright Phillips.

The Red and Blue halves of Merseyside were also represented, the Liverpool pack contains Xabi Alonso and Djibril Cisse, while for Everton we see Joseph Yobo and James McFadden, this would be the only figure Corinthian would release of McFadden.

The Chelsea 2 pack has Damien Duff and John Terry, with the Aston Villa pack of Darius Vassell and Olof Mellberg completing the line up.

Each double blister contained the 2 figures, 2 quiz cards and the collector's information leaflet.
